This stuffed toy is a Carnaby's Black Cockatoo from Hansa Toys. Also known as a short-billed black cockatoo, it's a large black cockatoo endemic to South-west Australia. First described in 1948 by naturalist Ivan Carnaby, this striking bird features a short crest atop its head and is cloaked in mostly greyish-black plumage, accented by distinctive white cheek patches and a bold white band across its tail. It has been captured here with amazing detail from this super realistic toy maker! Note: the perch is NOT included and was only used to take the photo.
Toy Measurements: This toy is 55cm from the top of the comb to the end of the tail. The top of the comb to the bottom of it's feet is 34cm. The body width is 17cm at the widest point.
